PASS relaunched - 1/10/2005
PASS has launched its new version of the PASS application, which has been completely re-written in Microsoft VB.NET and is packed with even more productivity features.
PASS was originally developed by David Lean and his team using the Filemaker programming environment. However, many clients have requested an update to operate with Microsoft SQL. With that in mind, PASS spent six months redeveloping the application from scratch, using the latest Microsoft .NET technologies. The new application was launched on October 1st 2005.
David Lean, Managing Director, picks up the story:
"The original PASS scored well with clients based on the many features we introduced to save processing time. However, IT departments were less happy with our development platform. To overcome these problems we partnered with TimeGate Group to completely re-develop the application.
We now have the most technically advanced product in the market. What's more we have managed to keep all of the tried and tested features from the original version, but we've added a few more for good measure!
Our soft launch activity has been extremely successful and we expect to sign up at least 10 major organizations to the new software within the first quarter of launch."
