Sodexho adopts fast-track recruitment for security staff - 13/03/2006
Sodexho has announced the roll out of a new recruitment process using an electronic application form developed by Personnel Automated Screening Systems Ltd (PASS). Initially to be used for the recruitment of security officers, the system captures career history and personal details so that prospective staff can be licensed and screened to the highest standard required by the industry in the fastest possible time.
The adoption of this next generation, online clearance procedure follows the launch of Sodexho’s ‘secure’ security offer, which focuses on a long-term, partnership approach to managing risk and loss reduction. ‘Secure’ is specific to the high-end, white collar corporate security market, thereby requiring Sodexho to provide its clients with high quality staff on demand and within tight timescales.
Richard Strudwick, Sodexho’s head of security who spearheaded the project said “we have addressed the challenges posed by the security industry licensing scheme and at the same time developed a hiring process that will be a significant benefit to the whole business. This is a ground breaking arrangement for Sodexho and very good news, both for our existing customers and for the large number of firms who could potentially use our services in the future."
